NARRATIVE

[ PROLOGUE ]

THE ARTIST, THE POET, THE WRITER, THOSE WHO QUESTION:

ALL ARE HUNTERS OF SIMULACRA, TIRELESS CALCULATORS OF IMPROBABILITIES.

DOVES OR VULTURES, FRAGILE CANARIES, OR HIDDEN BLACKBIRDS, THEY RASP, RIP, REND, ALWAYS GNAWING THEIR OWN CLAWS.

THE INVISIBLE WITHIN THEM THEN EMERGES.

O ARTISTA, O POETA, O ESCRITOR, OS QUE PERGUNTAM:

TODOS SÃO CAÇADORES DE SIMULACROS, INCANSÁVEIS CALCULADORES DE IMPROBABILIDADES.

POMBAS OU ABUTRES, FRÁGEIS CANÁRIOS OU ESCONDIDOS MELROS, RASPAM, RASGAM, ROMPEM, SEMPRE ROENDO AS SUAS PRÓPRIAS GARRAS.

O INVISÍVEL QUE HÁ NELES ENTÃO EMERGE.

— Ana Hatherly

[ TRAJECTORY ]

Between the (In)visible I am interested, above all, in what resists immediate explanation: how forms, words, and numbers elude capture.

Phase I [ 2011 — 2022 ]

For a decade, I researched the intersections of literature and the visual arts. I earned my Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD at the University of Porto, navigating the boundaries between text and image, essay and poetry, fragment and form.

Phase II [ 2022 — Present ]

Closing one chapter to open another, I immersed myself in AI and Data Science. I was captivated by the prospect of interpreting the world through new syntaxes, without sacrificing a sense of doubt, rhythm, or restlessness.

I cultivate a porous intelligence: one that observes before concluding, distrusts before accepting. One that listens. I work through the senses, aware they may deceive, yet trusting they provide a necessary intuition to unfold. This space is an archive in the making. A fold between languages. A place where thought is rehearsed.

Whether I am deconstructing a text, training a model, or running a marathon, the impulse is always the same: to understand how things work. Their structure, their hidden logic, their texture. My path moves between literature, data science, and creative experimentation, not because I seek mastery in each field, but because I am driven by a persistent need to learn what lies beyond what I already know. What truly defines me is not the sum of the skills I possess, but the pleasure of continual discovery.
